Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening (or bleaching) has been part of Dr. D’Angelo, Dr. Olson’s, and Dr. Hoffman’s cosmetic dentistry practice for over twelve years. Professional whitening of your teeth is a safe and effective means of removing stains and discoloration from teeth. The cosmetic dentists, Dr. D’Angelo, Dr. Olson, and Dr. Hoffman offer two different types of bleaching procedures. One type, “Power Bleaching” is completed entirely in the La Jolla office.

Power Bleaching

Power bleaching is performed by isolating the teeth and then applying a very strong bleaching solution to them. The results of the teeth whitening via power bleaching are immediate. A few people may experience some sensitivity after the process is completed.

Take Home Tray System

The second type of bleaching system used by your San Diego dentists, Drs. D’Angelo, Olson, and Hoffman involve your use at home of the professional take-home tray system and professional strength teeth whitening bleaching gels. The system is dispensed and supervised by the office and is performed by applying the gels to a custom tray that is specially designed to fit your teeth.

Dr. D’Angelo, Dr. Olson, and Dr. Hoffman believe the tray systems provide patients with complete and even cosmetic tooth whitening results while producing little or no sensitivity during treatment or after completion of treatment.
